The stablecoin trading project Platypus tweeted that with the assistance of Binance and ZachXBT, the French National Police has arrested and summoned two suspects who attacked Platypus. Platypus previously stated in a blog post that it worked with Binance to identify the attacker, contacted French law enforcement and appealed. Platypus promises to repay at least 63% of funds to users. Last week, hackers exploited a loophole in Platypus’ solvency check mechanism to steal about $9.2 million in digital assets, causing its native stablecoin USP to depeg from the U.S. dollar.
