0x499: PhalaWorld-The Next Generation Play to Build (P2B) and NFT - 0x499

WHAT IS PHALAWORLD

Built on the Phala Network Blockchain, PhalaWorld is a metaverse that adopts the concept of Soulbound NFTs to map users’ off-chain and on-chain activities into Metaverse games. Basically, PhalaWorld integrates different multiple off-chain and on-chain activities of users and generates them into NFTs that tells a visual story of users’ blockchain journey. Rather than defining users based on the assets they own, PhalaWorld creates a system in which users are reputed based on their behavior in building and depth of participation. The unique build of PhalaWorld metaverse and NFTs is undertaken with Soulbound 2.0 using RMKR 2.0 standard and this has poised PhalaWorld as an exciting and futuristic depiction of NFT utility and gamification.

PHALAWORLD METAVERSE

The PhalaWorld metaverse can only be accessed and explored with a Phala complete NFT pass. The story of Phala World happens 50 years after the AI awakened and launched a war. The ensuing long-lasting war left the world in ruins and the four species that survived the war coexist in the wasteland collectively known as ‘Survivors’.

PHALAWORLD NFT

As mentioned above, accessing the PhalaWorld metaverse requires a complete Phala NFT Pass and this consists of a combination of two kinds of NFT — SHELL and SPIRIT NFTS. For the survivors, the Shell NFT represents the user’s physical body, the Spirit NFT represents the soul. Only when the two NFTs are combined together, will users get a whole character in PhalaWorld.

The Spirit NFT: This is a non-transferable soulbound NFT. Each user can receive a free-mint Spirit at any time, the only condition being that users must contribute in Phala (with attributes above 0). Users can only upgrade their Spirit by contributing to the Phala community constantly or taking part in the Phala ecosystem. Users can find ways to level up their Spirit in the next article in the Spirit NFT series. There is no way for users to obtain attribute enhancements through ordinary purchases. The Spirit NFT has 5 careers (Hardware Druid, Robo Warrior, Trade Negotiator, Hack Wizard, Web3.0 Monk) which cannot be changed after one has been selected except by buying a different shell NFT. The Shell NFT: There are 8888 Genesis Shell NFTs at the origin of the PhalaWorld. Sleeping survivors need to wake up their Shells to survive in a post-nuclear world after “10 Years in Sleep”. The shell NFT is the survivors’ appearance and it is divided into rarities as follows: 8 Legendary, 80 magical and 8800 Prime editions which cost 15000 K-PHA, 10,000 K-PHA and 500 K-PHA respectively. Other than the rarity, the shell NFTs also include species and careers with 2222 NFTs for each species (AI-Spectre, Pandroid, Cyborg, X-Gene). HOW TO GET PHALAWORLD SPIRIT AND SHELL NFTS

The first step to take in order to get PhalaWorld Spirit and Shell NFTs is to set up a Kala account. Here is a complete GUIDE on how to do that.

Secondly, users have to hold some $PHA (Kala Chain) in their Kala account so they can pay for gas fees when minting the Spirit NFTs and pay the minting cost for the Shell NFTs (as mentioned above). Here is another simple guide on how to get $PHA.

After completing these steps, you are now ready to claim a PhalaWorld Spirit NFT for Free and participate in the Shell NFT mint schedule.

As for Minting the Shell NFTs, a mint schedule has been rolled out by the PhalaWorld Team. A complete guide to this can be found here. While the Legendary and Magic Mint began 31st October, the whitelist mint for the prime edition is set for — 2nd Nov 8pm- 4th Nov 8pm (SGT/UTC+8) and the public mint for the prime edition takes place between 4th Nov 8 pm- 14th Nov 8 pm (SGT/UTC+8).

Note that another vital stage after Minting the Shell NFT is the incubation/customization period.
