Vitalik Buterin, the founder of Ethereum, shared some of his personal user experience with encrypted wallets on his blog, saying that in addition to the most important problem of high transaction fees due to the scale that has not been fully resolved, user experience is a lot of problems. A key reason Ethereum users often choose centralized solutions over on-chain decentralized alternatives, which put power in the hands of users. The user experience has improved tremendously over the years - in particular, the ease with which Ethereum has been used has gone from the average transaction taking minutes before EIP-1559 to seconds after EIP-1559 and the merger huge change. But there is still more work to be done. A clean and smooth UI is better than one that presents the user with more details, at least making it easier for the user to understand what's going on and fix any issues that arise.
