1. Set Up Your Wallets (MetaMask Tutorial)
Step1
First, you need to create your own cryptocurrency wallet such as a MetaMask, WalletConnect, Coinbase wallet, Phantom, etc.
This passage will show you how to create your own cryptocurrency wallet step by step. Let's take Metamask as an example.
It's suggested that you use Google Chrome to register and login on PC or Mac.
We use Google Chrome to open MetaMask, we can see the MetaMask client download page.
Then choose to click Download now and directly select 「Install MetaMask for Chrome」 to install the program to Chrome.
Then choose to install the MetaMask client as required, and click Add to Chrome.
Then we can begin signing up for a MetaMask account by clicking directly below to start using it.
There are two different options below. The first one is to log in directly if you've previously had an account, and the second one is to have a new wallet account registered. Choose the second option to Create a Wallet.
Then choose your data sharing terms.
Then it's time to set the password.
The "Secret Recovery Phrase" (also known as a "Seed Phrase" or "crypto keys") is a very unique is step in the MetaMask wallet registration. The website will provide you with a paragraph of 12 different words in a specific order, and these are the only credentials to retrieve your account if lost. You can write it down using various methods, from pen and paper to metal stamping. It is very important that you are sure you will not lose it before clicking the next step.
Then fill in the previous Secret Recovery Phrase words in order as required, click Next, and you're in your MetaMask account.
Note: The Secret Recovery Phrase is very important. Do not copy it wrong, check it several times. Copy it on paper if possible, and put it away. Do not expose it, do not save the Secret Recovery Phrase on the network device, otherwise you may lose your property.
Here is your MetaMask wallet page. The number in the middle represents the ETH (Ethereum) balance, and US Dollar equivalent, in the wallet.
*You need to enable the Chrome extension function
*You need to manually copy and save the mnemonic words. Do not copy/paste as hackers can steal your seed phrase from your clipboard. Do not email to yourself, keep the keys "analog."
Step2
Buy some ETH for your new MetaMask wallet.
Choose an option below to purchase ETH, or copy your wallet address and send ETH from an existing ETH wallet (Coinbase, Ledger, etc.).
Exchange some of your USD for ETH.
You will need to fill in some of your privacy on this website to finish your exchange.
2. Find NFT Marketplaces

Register and log in to an NFT marketplace such as OpenSea, X2Y2, LOOKSRARE, etc.
Now, you get to find your first NFT! Go to OpenSea and click on "Explore." There, you'll see thousands of NFT collections available.
On the top right bar, you can filter your search by clicking on Trending, Top, Art, Collectibles, Domain Names, Music, Photography, Sports, Trading Cards, Utility, and Virtual Worlds.
When you find something you like, you can buy it directly or make an offer. Keep in mind that some NFTs will have the option "Place Bid," where you can make an offer to the owner to acquire the item. If you see an NFT like this, make sure you see the number of offers already made to have an idea of how much money you can bid.
On OpenSea, bids must be at least 5% higher than the previous one. But for the sake of the example, we're just going to buy at a fixed price.
Step4
Once you've found an NFT to buy on the marketplace, click "Buy now" to complete the payment.
For example, if you would like to buy the Moonbirds NFT pictured below (not financial advice), just click "Buy now."
You will be prompted to complete your NFT purchase through your MetaMask or other cryptocurrency wallet.
Click "Accept and sign" to connect your Opensea account with your Metamask.
After that, the NFT is transferred into your wallet.
*The final price to be paid is price + gas fee
If you want to bid for an NFT on the marketplace, you can use SWAP in the cryptocurrency wallet to convert ETH to WETH. WETH is a currency that allows users to make pre-authorized bids that can be fulfilled at a later date without any further action from the bidder. ETH and WETH are worth exactly the same amount and can be exchanged directly on your OpenSea profile.
Then use WETH to quote.
If the bid is accepted, the NFT goes into your wallet.
