Opportunities and possibilities in the digital space have widened the horizon of careers for GenZ. In the last decade, social media has evolved beyond the means of communication and has reinvented itself as a new-age viable professional career. Keeping this in mind, coto launches coto Uni to provide young girls with the fundamental knowledge in content creation, digital marketing, and starter entrepreneurship skills to make them future-ready.
coto — a #WomenForWomen social community platform — is fostering digital safe spaces for women, where they can come together to express, engage, and earn. With over 5000 communities, coto is a free and responsible online platform founded on the principles of decentralisation, transparency, and trust.
coto Uni aims to cater to young college-going women who will be able to choose from an array of specially-curated certification courses to help them in building their social media profile. Participants will also be able to build their own college communities, supported by the platform.
Aparna Acharekar, Co-Founder, coto said, “At coto, we believe that giving opportunities to young women and equipping them with skills which allow them to succeed in the real world is essential. Which is why we decided to build a program at coto which specifically looks at young women and empowers them to use social media and online content creation through college-based communities. Through this program, we will give an opportunity to young women to learn skills through our certificate program, get access to potential earning opportunities, and establish a network of enthusiastic, confident, and ambitious women who are ready to change the world.”
The participants will receive comprehensive and tailored mentorship from experienced community builders, who will work closely with them to develop strategies that are specific to their unique goals and challenges. In addition, they will have access to a range of resources and tools that will support them in scaling and managing their communities effectively, including regular check-ins with their mentors, peer-to-peer learning opportunities, and ongoing training and development programs. The program will also provide guidance on how to measure and track progress, as well as how to pivot and adjust strategies as needed.
