This Week in Music NFTs - April 4

The Music NFT community is taking shape.

From IRL events at NFT LA to recurring digital social spaces - the growing sector is finding its roots.

While it was a slow week by headline standards, it’s evident that a rising generation of artists and collectors are starting to see the vision.

From mentions of Sound.xyz or Royal at every dinner to challenges from Crypto Twitter, the emerging sector is a consistent topic of discussion.

But, we’ve still got a long way to go.

Artist Spotlight - Lyrah

LA-based designer turned artist Lyrah is making waves for here creative spin on Music NFTs.

She went viral for visualizing ownership through intuitive graphics to compliment her Foundation collection “The Taken Experience” - a four part drop breaking down a song into its various components and mechanisms.

She debuted her newest single “Hold Me” on Sound, and has since seen her floor price rice to a handsome 1 ETH.

Coincidentally, Lyrah noted that her Music NFT sales lead to editorial playlist support on Spotify - a funny intuition that maybe these two worlds are more closely related than we think.

We spoke on a panel last week and Lyrah’s approach to web3 comes through her positive spirit, willingness to experiment and excitement to collaborate.

If you’re looking for a guide to help get started with Music NFTs, look no further than Lyrah.
