Lawyers for SBF filed a letter Friday asking a federal judge to extend the deadline to negotiate bail terms until March 3, The Block reported. The SBF also asked for more time to find a technical expert to advise the court. Prosecutors urged Judge Lewis Kaplan to tighten SBF's bail conditions and severely limit his internet access after he used an encrypted app to message a former employee and used a VPN to watch the Super Bowl. Kaplan asked SBF to hire a technical expert to discuss his use of the VPN. SBF has agreed to pay to hire experts, and his lawyer said the search is still ongoing. The judge also asked prosecutors and SBF's lawyers to submit a new bail order to the court. According to previous news, this week SBF was hit with four new criminal charges, including bank fraud.
