The alternative is to live, at best, in mediocrity. If you think you are part of the crowd that is content in the mediocre, I beseech you to question your motivation for being here, on this page, on this blog, on this site, in this realm. The mediocre care not for the new and daring. The mediocre have abandoned passion and accept it. The mediocre feel and question nothing.

Sanity is mediocre.

Nay, if you think you’re content with the mediocre, and you find yourself here—still reading, mind you—then realize you are here because you feel something, and you’re willing to explore what that something may be. Your curiosity is getting the better of you. If you are still here, you are exploring outside the mediocre.

You are toeing the line of madness.

You are willing to set your creative spark alight.

Perhaps you have yet to find your kindling. If so, be patient and continue your explorations. Toeing the line of madness brings clarity of desire. Clarity of desire brings freedom of expression. Freedom of expression lights that creative spark. Madness impassions. And once that fire’s lit, you will discover that you’d rather burn in the fire than let anything ever quench it.
