As Mamba said, those moments when you are feeling low and you still do it, those days is when you grow! :) It is exactly how I feel after I finish 10 mins morning yoga in the morning today.

I struggled to wake up at 6ish am by three alarms with tasks where I set on Alarmy. I went to the kitchen, boiled some water, went to brush my teeth and wash my face. My head was heavy like it’s either stuck with a sponge or covered by a wet cloth. I only slept less than 6 hours, I am not sure if I can do this today? Or am I going to feel no energy because of lack of sleep?

Wake up your organs

I made my coffee, went back to my room, drank a full bottle of warm water. Now I felt pumped. When warm fluid flows into body, it just drives up circulation in the stomach, waking up all the organs totally.

Show yourself some love by skincare

The 5 mins of skincare is a way of self-care. I took my time to massage my face with the La-Roche Posay serum I just bought. I looked at myself in the mirror, and found a person whose skin looks much better than she used to be. She also observed that she is aging, like time’s ripples start to appear on her face. For the first time in life, she bought eye cream. She used the eye cream to massage around her eyes, and she just wishes that she could do this to herself everyday. 5 mins of self-love bring in the magic feeling of self-awareness.

Put on your armour

I took out my leggings, sports bra and a t-shirt, put them on my bed. I look at them just as my full set of armour. I took off my pyjama, put on my armour, and ready for my warm-up yoga.

In the first three mins on the mat, I still felt a bit sleepy, to be very honest. But I just breathe by following Sarah Beth’s instructions in the video. I breathe, I am present. Only my presence matters, nothing else does. The world on the internet, other people who are not in this space with me, the mysterious future in my head…none of them matter to me now. I am where I am supposed to be. And I am at my present moment. This is how I bring my flying mind from the air back to the mat and to the NOW.

The chair pose and the warrior I and II poses fired up my legs. The mini back ben and standing forward ben warmed up my spin and 100% woke up my brain. After 10 mins on the mat, I am like a power bank charged all night, and finally got my switch turned on.

Double rewards from willpower

Guess how long the above process took? Just less than 30 mins. And I feel awesome after it. From doubt and low mood to being fully motivated, I have produced dopamine for my body and for my day. These are the double rewards from my willpower. More than that, since I tasted the fruit of this double rewards, I am going to repeat this process again and again and again…and it becomes a life-changing habit.
