How Can I Get Honeycomb?
There are three ways to get your grubby little paws on Honeycomb:

The Honeycomb available through each of these avenues are the same. There are no tiers to Honeycomb. All are equal in the eyes of The Honey Jar.
- Free Claim and Early Mint:
The Honey Jar has iterated on the AirLock design created by the Apeliens Larvae NFT project. In their design, the AirLock was a way to supply partner communities with passwords to AirLocks ahead of general mint, which would allow these communities to get early access to minting before it became open to the general public. The Honey Jar has introduced the notion of gates, a 0 to 1 innovation in the NFT space, which are allowlisted with the following logic. Here are the ways you can be eligible to claim free Honeycomb:
The InfinityGate (IG)

A wallet is eligible for one Honeycomb if it holds one of each of the digital collectible versions of each of the articles which have been released at time of game initiation.

This is the only gate which is not first come, first serve but must be claimed before General Mint mints out else the free claim will become mintable as part of the General Mint

The InfinityGate will be the first gate which opens (along with BearGate), and will be open for 24 hours before the FrenGate and the PartnooorGate opens

Eligible wallets will have access to the free claim as well as early mint (this is just early access to General mint)

Those who meet InfinityGate criteria will also be eligible for BearGate and FrenGate.
The BearGate (BG)

A wallet is eligible for one Honeycomb per rebase of the Bong Bear collection that is in the wallet

A wallet is eligible for one Honeycomb per digital collectible of any of the Bong Bear equivalent 0xHoneyJar articles contained in the wallet

The BearGate will be the first gate which opens (along with InfinityGate), and will be open for 24 hours before The HoneyGate opens

Eligible wallets will have access to the free claim as well as early mint (this is just early access to General mint)

A wallet is eligible for each type of Honeycomb held in the wallet. Each generation of Honeycomb is considered a type

The HoneyGate will be the second gate which opens (after IG and BG) and will be open for 24 hours before the FrenGate and the PartnooorGate opens

A wallet is eligible for one honeycomb for each type of token or NFT listed in the frens list

Frens list is a single commingled bucket of allocation so all tokens and NFTs are competing with each other

The PartnooorGate (PG)

The Honey Jar partners with projects, protocols, and their communities. Each partnooor may supply an allowlist of wallets which will be eligible for free claims

Each partner free claim allocation is non-competitive with other partners. Only those listed on a partner allowlist can access those allocated free claims

How many Honeycombs could I claim for free if I have each of the BearGate articles? The theoretical max is 7 honeycomb, one for each of the articles
What if I have more than one of an articles It is capped at 1 per wallet per article
What if I have bear jpegs and articles Let's say you have a bit bear and also the bit bear equivalent article. Then you could theoretically claim 2 honeycombs. Lets say you have 2 bit bears and 2 of the bit bear equivalent articles. Then you could theoretically claim 2 honeycombs as there is no benefit to having more than 1 type in your wallet at a time from a free claim POV.
Let's say you have a bit bear and also the boo bear equivalent article. Then you could theoretically claim 2 honeycombs. Lets say you have 1 bit bears and 2 boo bears and 2 of the bit bear equivalent articles and 2 of the boo bear equivalent articles. Then you could theoretically claim 4 honeycombs as there is no benefit to having more than 1 type in your wallet at a time from a free claim POV.
What do the FrenGate articles get me? If you have
These give you access to minting at the FrenGate. You can try to get 1 free honeycomb for each of the articles that you have. It is first come first serve and FrenGate will be very oversubscribed and competitive. You will have access to early mint ahead of the public General Mint, so in essence these articles act as a traditional WL.
I saw in the Snoop thread that an article meant I got a free claim. What’s up.
Here is thread, read it if haven’t. Snoop is smort but this is not how the articles work. Articles give WL but do not assure a free claim. Free claims are FCFS (first come first serve) and are limited.

The articles are NFTs of Optimism. Bong Bears are NFTS on Ethereum mainnet. All Bong Bears NFTs (except the OGs) are ERC721s. This means they are compatible with many NFTFi protocols. The Articles are not. Articles collectibles are not recognised by the berachain foundation and are very unlikely to receive an airdrop from berachain directly
Why would I spend ETH on articles, which don’t give 100% assurance of free claim, when I could just buy honeycomb directly? If you are a person who tends to miss deadlines, then you are right it might not be the best use of funds for you as you will likely miss out on the chance of free claims. However, if you are good at turning up on time, then you may decide that it is worth the chance to get a free claim for each of the articles. You may also be of the opinion that The Honey Jar will continue to produce games in which case the articles are an avenue to accessing free claims in all future games, which if achieved reduces their cost basis over time. You may notice that the secondary market for the collectible articles is also already pricing them higher than mint price. You may also speculate that articles are part of a wider set of fly wheels that The Honey Jar team are building

Should I buy one of the frens gate articles from secondary instead of from mirror? We’re not able to give financial advice - but ya mad!? Why not just mint at cost price direct from mirror for the 10k editions?
What will be the benefits of bong bear 101 articles if you are releasing that much article? Each article can be considered WL, but with a chance for a free claim too. Each different type of article is an additional chance to get a free claim. So if you don’t care about free claims, and just want early access to early mint, then just getting one of the BearGate equivalent articles would be a good strategy for you

What is the difference between a Fren and a Pahtner? Frens are projects where The Honey Jar team has allowlisted their projects tokens so that their community can enter The Honey Jar Games in the FrensGate. There is no official partnership with teams which are listed in the FrensList. Projects listed as Partners are partnerships where the project will be offering some benefit to Honeycomb holders and The Honey Jar is offering some benefit to their project.
What is the benefit of being a Fren vs a Pahtner?

FrensGate will be very oversubscribed. All freeclaims are commingled so every person entering in this gate is competing for the same number of freeclaims.

Pahtners receive an allocation based on which tier of Partner they are from Tier 1 to Tier 4. Those in Tier 1 receive a larger allocation of free claims than Tier 4.

Pahtners supply an allowlist with as many eth addresses as they like, so Partnooors are able to control how competitive they want their free claims to be.

What is the the thing about the OG Glitch bear?

An OG Bong Bear is transferred by the BeeKeeper into the smart contract

It gives anons a relatively inexpensive way to gain exposure to much of what is being built on Berachain, all without having to do excessive research into dozens of projects. It’s like having a dedicated BD team working for you, maximizing your value.
what are the benefits for Berachain projects of honeycomb? The Honey Jar aims to solve the age-old problem of identifying wallet addresses connected to degens who are actively engaged in the ecosystem, rather than giving airdrops to CT replyguys who are not actually invested in or aligned with the success of your project. This provides projects with an audience to target for potential airdrops, discounts, whitelists, early access, and anything else they can dream up. Honeycomb holders will be a much larger and decentralized group to work with, as opposed to the lucky few who hold the gud bera jpegs (though we’re working hard to mek sure The Honey Jar is a bery gud thing for Bong Bear OGs too).

When are Snapshots Taken? A snapshot will be taken at the beginning of each Hibernation game
First Come, First Served Each free claim gate will be on a strict first come, first served basis (except for InfinityGate). This means that you may be WL (on the allowlist) but it does not assure you will get a free claim. Being on WL does assure that you have access to early mint before the public opening of General Mint.
Which NFTs and tokens are on the Frens list? You should check the website and docs before launch or in the meantime you can propose a project (and see the current list) here.
How many Hibernation Games do you plan to run through The Honey Jar? Assuming the first Season of The Honey Jar is successful we plan to run Seasons until there is no longer support from the community. We have some familiar dynamics from DeFi which we will be applying into this NFTGamu experience which we think will make for an interesting experiment.
Will the rules be the same for future games? Whilst we reserve the right to update the Gate and allowlist logic, at this moment in time - yes. The rules will be the same.

Hibernation Games

A Hibernation game begins when the Head Beekeeper supplies the Honey Jar with an OG Bong Bear (support for more gud jpegs thooon). The Bong Bear enters The Honey Jar Cave and begins its hibernation. This act of hibernation triggers the creation of a new generation of Honeycomb NFTs

A limited number of Honeycomb NFTs are available for free claim by eligible wallets, and the rest for purchase by general mint

Once all Honeycomb have been minted, Spring will begin and one of the Honeycomb will undergo magic fermentation to become Special Honeycomb which can wake up the OG Bear from its slumber. Once the Special Honeycomb is used to claim, the OG Bong Bear will then live in this anon’s wallet
- If Honeycomb never sells out, then the OG Bong Bear will forever slumber in the Honey Jar Cave. The contracts, and thus the cave, are immutable
so we need infinitygate to play the season1 games and the other gates cant play, only mint honeycomb nfts In the vision of The Honey Jar. We call a mint a game. We will also have seasons. A season will be a collection (or group) of games. Each of these games will be a different mint, for a different generation of honeycomb. You do not need ANY articles at all to be able to play a game. You can simply wait for the public opening and then go to the general mint. If you would like early access to playing the game (minting) then having an article collectible will give you early access to minting and also a chance to get a free claim of honeycomb. Article collectibles will give early access to all games in all seasons.
What is a minigame? On our site we will host a series of minigames which can be played in browser. These minigames will have leaderboards. The top wallets on the leaderboard of each game will be added to their own free claim area within Pahtner gate. Whilst still FCFS this allocation will be much less competitive than other gates.
Which minigames are there? Atm there is llama run and beesweeper with moar on the way. We also work with pahtners who are games to host mini versions of their game on The Honey Jar also.
What is a mint game? A mint game is the mint of a generation of Honeycomb. We call this a game as there are many ways to build edge and get advantage in this system. You can read the articles to understand how all the pieces fit together and follow other honeytrails.
