Liquidity staking protocol Lido community is voting on its version 2 (Ethereum V2) upgrade, which includes a "staking router" that simplifies onboarding different subsets of validators. The second element of the v2 upgrade will allow users to exchange Lido’s flagship stETH tokens for base Ether tokens after Ethereum’s Shanghai upgrade is successful. The upgrade will also rewrite Lido’s oracle smart contracts and off-chain software to process withdrawals. Lido is preparing for the upcoming Shanghai upgrade of Ethereum.
