Sponsor Rehash Podcast Season 3

As we’re wrapping up Season 2 of Rehash: A Web3 Podcast and gearing up for Season 3, one question we keep asking ourselves is: how can we provide even more value to the web3 ecosystem?

While we’re proud to have been able to facilitate many insightful conversations with our guests that hopefully led to important learnings for our listeners, we want to do more in Season 3.

Sponsor Rehash: A Web3 Podcast

In Season 3, we’re offering our creative chops to three web3 companies with values that align with ours to help spread the word about their product or community. Historically, our listeners have shown great interest in conversations around DAOs, decentralized social, public goods/regen, and learning in web3.

As a sponsor, you’ll receive the following:

  • A 30 second ad segment on every episode in Season 3 (Season 3 will contain a minimum of 15 episodes)
  • Custom made, creatively produced and definitely not boring ads
  • An exclusive 60 second video interview for social media
  • Short, creative assets designed for social

We’ll explain what that looks like below.

Definitely Not Boring Ads

To start, we’ll be offering ads that are definitely not boring. We’ve all listened to podcasts and double clicked the 30 second fast forward button when an ad starts playing. Podcast ads have become all too predictable, and we’re here to provide listeners with a refreshing change.

Here’s how our ads will be different from traditional podcast ads:

  • Our ads will align with our listeners’ interests to maximize conversion. Instead of taking money from whoever is willing to give it to us, or selecting our sponsors based solely on financial considerations, we’ll rely on our DAO members to help us select the most aligned companies to partner with.
  • Our ads will be custom written for you and creatively produced so that our listeners actually enjoy listening to them instead of fast forwarding through them. Rather than asking our partners to send us a canned script for us to read, or even a pre-recorded segment they’ve produced, the Rehash team will write and record a thoughtfully created ad segment just for you. Of course, we’ll get your sign off before we run it.

Exclusive 60 second podcast + more creative assets

In addition to a custom-made ad just for you, we’ll also produce a 60 second video interview with you highlighting your company that you’ll be able to use across your social channels.

We’ll then chop up this highlight into even shorter clips, memes, quote graphics, or other creative assets to share widely across social media.

The companies, projects, and protocols we decide to partner with for ad sponsorships are ones we feel truly values-aligned with and want to see succeed, so we’re willing to do everything we can for the duration of the season to provide the most value we can.

Speaking of values, our three core values are:

  1. DIVERSITY: We want to make a conscious effort to represent as many diverse perspectives as possible. If we want to build a future version of the web that serves everyone around the world, then we need to understand the perspectives of the different representative groups we want to benefit from web3. This means we think carefully about the creators we work with and make a concerted effort to onboard minorities and people from diverse backgrounds. This also means we don't have to agree with others’ viewpoints, and we don't criticize or judge when someone else has differing viewpoints; rather, we ask questions and listen respectfully and empathetically.
  2. NUANCE: We believe the world (including the world of web3) operates on a greyscale, not in black and white. This means we're interested in discussing the nuances of certain arguments, not in labeling or putting everything and everyone into a box. The unknown is scary, but we revel in it because we know that the only way we'll truly learn and grow is by living in the unknown and challenging ourselves to be comfortable in the discomfort.
  3. HUMILITY: We believe web3 is the future and that in these early stages, we all play an integral role in helping shape the future. This means we treat our decisions and actions with care and discernment, not callously nor impulsively. This also means we are humble - we recognize how little we know and are hungry to learn more.

Set your own price

Rather than setting a price point for you, we’re letting you set your own price. When you apply to sponsor Rehash, you’ll have an opportunity to “bid” on a sponsorship position by writing down how much you’re willing to pay for a Season 3 ad spot, which includes everything we highlighted above.

While we won’t be selecting our three S3 sponsors based on bid price alone, we will take it into consideration as one of the factors in deciding who to work with. A higher bid means more money our creators receive and more money that goes back into the treasury, so our DAO members have an incentive to vote on higher bids, all else equal.

Speaking of which, here’s how we plan to split the proceeds received from sponsorships:

  • 50% of proceeds will go to our producers, Tyler & Ellie
  • 20% of proceeds will go to our podcast host, Diana
  • 15% of proceeds will go to whoever helped generate the winning sponsors
  • 15% of proceeds will go back into our treasury

The minimum bid price is $5,000 USD.
