Avicii (b. 1989): A true musical pioneer who continues inspiring us

On September 8, 1989, somewhere in Sweden, Stockholm, Tim Bergling was born, better known as Avicii; one of the most prolific musical minds of the last decade; his talent and dedication led him to become one of the most influential producers, performers, and composers of our time. Despite his death in 2018, his soul and spirit will remain in our hearts through his music.

One day you'll leave this world behind, So live a life you will remember" - The Nights (2014) by Avicii

Avicii, born Tim Bergling, was one of the most successful and influential electronic dance music producers of his time. One of the things that made Tim's music so special was his ability to blend different genres and styles. He was never afraid to experiment and try new things, and as a result, his music always felt fresh and exciting. From the soaring melodies and uplifting lyrics of "Wake Me Up" to the dark and brooding beats of "Levels," Avicii's music had a wide-ranging appeal that transcended traditional EDM boundaries.

He struggled with his own mental health throughout his life, and in 2017 he announced that he would be retiring from touring in order to focus on his well-being. He continued to make music, however, and his final album, "TIM," was released posthumously in 2019.

His rise to fame and subsequent retirement was chronicled in Avicii: True Stories, filmed over 3 years and directed by Levan Tsikurishvili. “I will however never let go of music,” he said at the time. “I will continue to speak to my fans through it.”

Avicii may no longer be with us, but his music and legacy will continue to live on for years to come. He was a true musical pioneer and an inspiration to many, and his contributions to the world of music will not soon be forgotten.

"TIM" is a fitting tribute to Avicii's life and legacy, showcasing his wide-ranging talents and his commitment to creating music that was both innovative and meaningful. The album features collaborations with artists such as Chris Martin of Coldplay and Aloe Blacc, and it includes some of Avicii's most personal and introspective work.
