Footprint major upgrade & change in October

Footprint Analytics is building blockchain’s most comprehensive data analysis infrastructure with tools to help developers, analysts, and investors get unrivaled GameFi, DeFi, and NFT insights. The engine collects, indexes, and cleans data from 20 chains and counting — letting users build charts and dashboards without code using a drag-and-drop interface as well as with SQL or Python. Footprint Analytics also provides a unified data API for NFTs, GameFi, and DeFi across all major chain ecosystems.

With this comes the need to constantly upgrade and improve our existing architecture, for a smoother and more in-depth experience for our users at Footprint.

Here’s a list of our new updates we will explore:

1. More chains

2. Support full history

3. Provide more raw data for in-depth analysis

4. Improve latency

5. More protocols

6. More structured tables and meaningful metrics

7. A more intuitive chart creating UX

More Chains:

Footprint now supports 20 chains which include

-Arbitrum

-Avalanche

-Boba

-BSC

-Celo

-DFK

-EOS

-Ethereum

-Fantom

-Harmony-Heco

-Hive

-IoTex

-Moonbeam

-Moonriver

-Optimism

-Solana

-Thundercore

-WAX-Oasys

Footprint is unmatched when it comes to cross chain analytics, currently supporting the most amount of chains compared to other web3 data providers.

Support Full Historical Data

With the 20 chains Footprint also provides full historical data of said chains. You can view historical transactions, previous protocols, historical addresses, and more. Whatever chain at whatever time. Footprint has you covered.

Improved Latency

Footprint has successfully improved our latency from daily to >2 minutes for Ethereum chain and 3 hours for our other chains. Later in the year we will have more chains with >2 minute latency. Our users can now get closer to their real time data needs with Footprint.

Provide More Raw Data In-Depth Metrics:

Footprint is bringing trace & event raw data to our chains. With these two new avenues of data provided, Footprint provides more options for analysts who want to go deeper and more in depth with new or existing dashboards. Starting with Ethereum, Footprint will soon bring event and trace data to all our EVM chains.

More Protocols

Covering as many DApps as possible is important to us. Footprint now provides more protocols across all of our chains for our users. Footprint is also developing a protocol contract submission page and an event auto index tool for more coverage.

Meaningful Metrics

Footprint is now providing more structured tables and meaningful metrics for our users. We have currently provided several new tables for NFT & GameFi domains and are currently working on our NFT wash trading metrics as well as combining real user data & with in-game NFTs for GameFi.

New Intuitive Charting UX

Footprint is constantly working on improving our charting function to be more intuitive and smooth to use. Helping our analysts make in-depth discoveries quickly and efficiently. That being said, Footprint is always open to suggestions regarding UX and love hearing feedback from our community.
