Le$'s E30

Texas music has always had a small place in my heart whether its hearing the magically slowed down Devin the Dude drip through my headphones or the melodic cadences of Pimp C cut hard against the empty spaces between notes. Le$ is the embodiment of that quintessential Texas sound and for that I’ll always give him a listen. His most recent project serves as a feeling of comfort for the MC. He feels at home cruising over beats that fit his vocals like a fresh set of wheels hugging the pavement. Carefully placed features from Larry June, Freddie Gibbs, and Curren$y seem completely additive and I find the sequence of this project perfect for riding out around the city in slow motion. Le$ offers up familiarity with landmark vocals that feel authentic and formative against any other southern MC.
