Spottie WiFi - Drink Ain’t Free

Bringing the third single from his upcoming album The King’s Alpha onto Sound, Spottie WiFi drops bars alongside Allan Kingdom and Alec King on his newest track “Drink Ain’t Free.”

“Drink Ain’t Free” follows two previous drops in the rollout of his album featuring legendary rapper Bun B and illa Da Producer.

The self-proclaimed best (and only) CryptoPunk rapper alive shows there’s nothing spotty about this song, with the vibes and flow staying consistent throughout.

Dropping in conjunction with the release of the full album on DSPs, “Drink Ain’t Free” is sure to garner major attention in both web2 and web3.

Behind the Music

Spottie WiFi originally came into the rap game as Mig Mora. He gained prominence in the local Chicago scene but paused his music career in the early 2010s in the wake of an unfavorable record deal.

Fast forward to 2021, Spottie WiFi purchased his now famous CryptoPunk, Punk 5528. Becoming immersed in the Punks community at a time when people were developing personas around their PFPs, he revived his rap project through the Spottie WiFi character.

His genesis collection “I’m Spottie” sold out 2000 editions instantly, generating 60 ETH, the equivalent of roughly 50 million streams on Spotify. Innovative in incorporating unique traits and rarity for both the artwork and music, the project is one of the most successful music NFT drops to date and a testament to the new creative freedoms enabled by web3.

Why Should I Care?

Spottie WiFi is a leading artist in web3 who is bringing visibility to the space through high profile collaborations and innovative work. We believe his presence in the larger NFT community will be hugely impactful to the growth of music NFTs.

“Drink Ain’t Free” is a captivating song available to collect as a limited edition piece.

We’re excited to see how Spottie WiFi will roll out the rest of the project to continue to showcase how artists can utilize NFTs.
