The Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute has set up a virtual asset working group and is formulating examination and training plans related to virtual asset practice

The Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute (HKSII) will be holding training programs and seminars on virtual assets in the coming months. Topics such as "How Digital Assets Coexist in Traditional Finance's IT Architecture" and "Digital Assets for Portfolio Management" will be explored. On June 1, HKSII posted an update on its website stating that it is working closely with the Examination Board and the Education and Development Committee. Additionally, a Virtual Assets Working Group was established to help develop a corresponding CPT program and exam to support the new licensing regime for market practitioners. Details of upcoming exams and training programs will be announced shortly.

It is reported that HKSII is the main licensing body of Hong Kong's financial services industry. It has close ties with the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (HKSFC). It is responsible for providing training and license examinations for brokers and asset managers in Hong Kong. Candidates take the exam.
