Designing a Brand for Everyday Possibilities

The perception of today’s crypto ecosystem is that it feels out of touch to everyday people. You see this in web3’s pervasive use of otherworldly imagery from the cosmos to planets and spaceships. Barriers to adoption are not only metaphorical, but also literal in that current crypto tooling and user experiences are fragmented and sub-optimal.

As ZetaChain embarked on its brand exploration journey, we asked, how can we bring crypto back to life and make it more familiar and human to ordinary consumers? How do we also inspire endless possibilities to use and create on ZetaChain? We struck this balance in the form of everyday possibilities, which became a key principle and driving force in the creative process.

With ZetaChain, assets, data, and people operate together as if they were in the same world, traveling through a shared and open space.

Similar to the DNA of ZetaChain, our new design system emphasizes themes of accessibility — no gatekeeping, no elusiveness, no exclusivity. This is reflected through its use of approachable and natural colors, daily life-focused imagery, and relatable language across both rebranded and upcoming products. The clean, sharp strokes, and understated arrow in ZetaChain’s logo coupled with the broader refreshed design system aim to embody values of simplicity, accessibility, and connection. We strived to create a brand that feels natural, empowering, and alive — something that serves and meets people where they are now in their everyday lives.

A Look Forward

Universal access to crypto benefits everyone. The ZetaChain rebrand is a huge step in bridging gaps between the existing cryptosphere and everyday consumers. With both our brand identity along with the protocol, web products, and developer and app ecosystem, we are determined to make the space more approachable and create things that work for real people today. We look forward to evolving our brand voice and ethos together in collaboration with the ZetaChain community, supporters, and contributors.
