This year has been wild and wonderful, so I wanted to document some of my favorite moments and make some predictions for what next year might hold. Enjoy!
2022 Predictions
- In hindsight, 2021 turns out to be the “Eternal September” of Web3: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eternal_September
- Twitter leans heavily into Web3, we get to experience NFTs integrated directly into a social media platform which causes all sorts of shifts in thinking, consciousness, and experience.
- The Ethereum Merge occurs, but later than June.
- The environmental concerns over ETH are finally put to rest, but the haters just refocus the narrative to it being a ponzi scheme and MLM and artist’s work being stolen.

- Reports that Apple is beginning to work on something crypto related (won’t be released for another 3-5 years though).
- A DAO buys a major company.
- There will be a trend of DAOs/communities leaving or not using Discord or at the very least diversifying their community spaces.
- A decentralized twitter, discord, etc does NOT make any meaningful ground.
- A prominent US politician or world leader will change their name to an ENS domain OR begin using crypto/NFTs in a highly visible way.
- The “Crypto Bros” narrative will weaken dramatically.
