Our Approach to the Fire Lily DAO

Hello and welcome to the Fire Lily DAO! Let us work together to make this flower bloom even brighter.

Fire Lily's short-term goal is for participants to collaborate on a book about the modern Web. In order to achieve this goal, we must devise a strategy. So, here is the roadmap that I created and would like to discuss with you. I'll show the roadmap first, then explain why I designed it this way later.

Every two weeks, one chapter will be completed.

The section on New Technologies

Week 1: Web3

Week 3: NFT

Week 5: DAO

Week 7: Cryptocurrency

...

The section on Big Questions.

Week 1: Recommender Systems

Week 3: Creators of the Web

Week 5: The Internet is beginning to resemble a religion.

Week 7: Technology Development's Reincarnation

...

Fire Lily will be divided into two parts: a discussion of the major issues facing the modern Web and a look at and reflection on new technologies. In terms of reading order, it makes more sense to start with today's issues and then move on to tomorrow's. However, from a writing standpoint, it does not make sense because a deeper discussion of the issues necessitates better cooperation from the participants as well as a suitable discussion environment. That is something Fire Lily currently lacks.

As a result, Fire Lily's discussions begin with new technologies. Web3, NFT, DAO, and so on are examples. Because the majority of the participants work in the Internet industry, our discussions about new technologies take place on a daily basis. This made it easier for us to begin the project.

Following the discussion of new technologies, we could begin to formally discuss the Internet's major issues, such as net neutrality, the impact of recommendation systems on access to information, and the Internet's alienation of creators. The new technology to big problem ratio should be around 1:4. 2If this is a 300k word book, the discussion of new technologies should be about 75k words, and the discussion of big problems should be about 225k words. The editor of the official publication will most likely place the new technology section after the big problems. However, when we do the DAO, the new technologies will begin before the major problems.

The Fire Lily DAO is likely to be divided into four roles.

  1. initiator: in charge of writing the first article for each chapter and new topic.
  2. commenter: someone who contributes to the discussion of the article
  3. editor: in charge of editing articles for official publication
  4. auxiliary: in charge of legal, translation, design, and so on.

By default, all DAO participants are commenters and can participate in the discussion of any article. Not all comments, however, will be included in the final publication. If the initiator considers more than three comments from the same commenter for inclusion in the book, the initiator will invite the commenter to join the initiator's group. If the commenter agrees to join the panel, he or she will be granted the ability to write new articles.

The exact procedure for each chapter will be as follows.

The initiator posts the article first, and the group then discusses it. If there are particularly good comments, the original discussion can be expanded into a separate article.

When all of the current topics have been written, the initiator proposes an outline for a new topic, and the DAO members vote to determine the order of the next selection.

In short, the initiator sparks a discussion through an article; when one discussion is over, the next one takes place.

The Fire Lily DAO is currently being launched by myself(MornMushroom#6764) and with the first initiator Chao#8304. I'm working on a website for the Fire Lily project with mamiya7ii.eth(EMBARGO#4780).

Fire Lily is a young DAO with a lot of holes. We need your help. Let's imagine what a better Internet might look like.
