Tencent Cloud announced its strategic partnership with Maxity.io today, the world's largest charity NFT marketplace and world’s first Web3 social impact protocol. Through this partnership, Tencent Cloud and Maxity.io will collaborate to explore the potential of Web3+Social Impact innovation solutions. This partnership is a testament to the shared commitment of Tencent Cloud and Maxity.io to drive positive social change through the power of blockchain and Web3 technology, and the two companies will continue to contribute towards achieving the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Global Goals.

NFTs have experienced explosive growth in a remarkably short period of time. They went from being cult collectors’ goods to being auctioned at Christie's to being used to assist civil society organisations that share Sustainable Development Goals. NFTs have also become popular in recent years to raise funds for charities and other causes. For example, in 2022, an NFT of the Ukrainian flag was sold for $6.75 million by UkraineDAO in an effort to raise funds for those affected by the war in Ukraine.

Tencent Cloud's Cloud Virtual Machine (CVM) services offer secure and flexible computing capabilities, ensuring smooth development and operation of Maxity’s NFT marketplace, and its DApp, Maxity App. It meets the need for efficient, large-scale computing power at a low cost, which is necessary for Maxity to handle the growing number of users and calculations involving NFT trading, energy conversion, and MAX Coin rewarding mechanism. This partnership allows Maxity to explore more possibilities regarding Web3+Social Impact.

To better encourage global users to join environmental protection and contribute to the idea of Blockchain for Good, Maxity has launched its first mobile DApp, Maxity App in December 2022, featuring the Plant and Reward model, MAX Forest. By planting virtual trees in the metaverse and donating NFT trees through MAX Forest, users can participate in the fight against desertification and climate change and make a positive impact in the real world. Plant and Reward is the first step of Maxity’s Volunteer and Reward model and its ultimate goal of building a Symbiotic Metaverse for all.
