Early projects

This issue focuses on two early projects, GMX/MAPLE, with an emphasis on GMX. Reason for analysis: Based on a combination of coinage price, TVL and transaction volume over the past six months, GMX has outperformed dydx and perpactual, this is due in part to 100% of its agreement revenues going back to the community, various forms of pledge rewards (especially for long-term holders) , and multi-chain deployments (the newly launched Avalanche Ecology) . GMX can facilitate transactions by employing multiple chains, allowing perps for Virgin assets such as AVAX, Matic, or BNB, and capital-efficient spot swaps. GMX is an attractive model because it offers the same price execution as CEX and costs significantly less than the traditional AMM model.

Concept: Dex

Opinion: GMX is a decentralized exchange that does not require a user name or password to trade. View: Maple Finance aims to address the underutilization of funds due to excessive collateral in DeFi lending. At Maple, a reputable business could reduce the loan-to-collateral ratio to 40% . Maple's target customers are companies with a strong track record in the encryption industry, such as those trading, market-making funds and cryptocurrency mining companies looking to expand their business. Less than 5 per cent of the total value of the $50bn locked up in the cryptocurrency market is under collateralised. In traditional finance, the vast majority of credit is issued unsecured or under-collateralized, enabling companies and individuals to access effective debt financing. The lack of infrastructure surrounding these loans has become a huge bottleneck in the encrypted economy. Maple Finance provides a solution to approved borrowers through mortgage shortfalls, taking advantage of the composability and efficiency of the common blockchain.

View: Thorchain is a decentralized trading platform that supports cross-chain transactions of assets on the coin security chain, ether house, and bitcoin blockchain by building liquidity pools on top of it, any asset and RUNE tokens need to be set up to run the network through a rotating node. Any user can also pledge assets in a liquidity pool to earn a transaction fee and a RUNE token bonus. Thorchain's transaction volume reached $162 million while TVL's reached $549 million. The three main factors were (I) THORSynth Activation, (II) Terra Integration and (III) Cap Remove.
