Kinrose’s style is smooth and elegant. There is a tinge of R&B here that is accentuated by the pace of the Ayün Studios directed music video. In the middle of the afternoon when you need to push through those last couple hours of work, this is the song for you. Go back and dive into Kinrose’s catalog a bit more and you’ll see why ES dropped this on Phlote. A song like “Profile” follows this similar formula where Kinrose ducks in and out singing and rapping like switching lanes in a car. It takes time for a rapper to find their signature pocket as an MC. This DMVup-and-comer has obviously done it and is ready to make the next move.
