Following the regulation of cryptocurrencies, European politicians are considering the next step in attracting Web3 businesses, potentially targeting privacy-respecting tailor-made blockchains, Belgian digital minister Mathieu Michel said in an interview. According to Michel, the new "Europeum" blockchain could be a tool for recording property ownership, driver's licenses or professional qualifications while adhering to the EU's high regulatory norms. After a string of scams and scandals, Michel is in favor of moving from purely financial applications of distributed technology to public services and supply chain management.

It is reported that the European Union will vote on the Crypto Asset Market Regulation (MiCA) in April.
