The BAYC NFTs have gathered so much growth and popularity in a year since the first NFT minting started on April 23, 2021. Back then, the floor price was 0.08 ETH each, whereas now it has hit an all-time high of 142 ETH, which is a whopping gain of 1775x.

The Bored Ape team is also planning to hold an ApeFest in Manhattan this June. Adidas may be involved with the Bored Ape metaverse project in some form of partnership. Recently they released an ‘Into the Metaverse’ NFT collection in collaboration with BAYC and worked with metaverse avatar creation platform Ready Player Me.

APE is currently trading at $17. ApeCoin will be the governance token that will power the BAYC metaverse. Most market experts believe ApeCoin’s rally was driven by the expectation of a land sale in “The Otherside” metaverse.

The “Otherside” metaverse is alleged to present over 200,000 land plots as per the details from a leak. Buying virtual land in the metaverse has been spiking in demand recently.

The demand and price of ApeCoin are also expected to skyrocket if the team decides to make ApeCoin the only payment system that could be used to purchase lands in the metaverse. That is debatable speculation for the future.

it looks like $APE is getting its own role with Coinbase and their upcoming feature film about BAYC. The film will feature hand-picked BAYC, and they are currently reaching out to owners and finding which Apes will be in the film.

It seems no matter what is going on in the world, BAYC keeps bulldozing ahead in the Web3 space. It is not just the NFT world they have taken over. It’s the cryptocurrency world, Metaverse, Pop Culture, Sports, and much more.

The animation for Otherside has been circling the internet for quite some time now, revealing that there will potentially be one more series of characters joining the club – Koda. While not much is known about what’s to come, many BAYC members believe that Kodas will be randomly distributed during an anticipated Otherside Land sale.

In addition, users anticipate that the Otherside Meta project will constitute the sale of virtual land that will only be purchasable with BAYC’s native ecosystem coin – APE. There have been leaks about Otherside all throughout the past week, which is perhaps the reason for APE’s massive surge in price, despite the sideways and choppy conditions on the broader crypto market.
