i have talked before about the power of community and maintain that our strength together far exceeds anything a central leader or team can give a project. we have seen this power time and time again in the past months, and we must keep this at the front of our minds today.

the mfers named in sartoshi's post have shown up for mfers every day. i hope these mfers that you've been vibing with also inspire your trust to continue to organise the community to usher in the next era.

this is not a central team taking the reins, but a bunch of mfers who will help to facilitate the set up of governance processes that will keep mfers true to our value of decentralisation. this conversation is not new to all mfers, now it is time to push our thoughts into action and our thots into tings.

to @sartoshi_nft, thank you for creating mfers. mfer, your art makes me smile every day and inspires me to create my own. this community quickly turned into a home for me in web3 and will continue to be in the years to come. i am very sorry to see you go.

we talked about cryptopunks today and i remain in awe of punks and the weight the project and their community hold in this space 5 years from mint. whether mfers can become leaders in this space depends on the actions we take, the culture we build, and what we decide to stand for today.

mfers, essentially nothing has changed at this start of a new era. we are still a bunch of stick figures ambushing new mfers on twitter, vibing on discord, and sharing alpha.
