Ian Howorth is a Brighton-based photographer who creates photographs primarily with analog film, drawing inspiration from American pioneers of color photography, Stephen Shore and William Eggleston, and European artists such as Luigi Ghirri.

His work explores places, memories, and experiences with a sense of composition that steers attention toward the mundane details of the everyday.

Out to sea is part of Ian’s “In Passing” series, a collection of images taken between 2017 and 2020, many of which were taken in between moments—a rest stop, a chance encounter en route to someplace else.

Paola Franqui, also known as Monaris, is a Puerto Rico-born photographer based in New Jersey, combining her passion for visual storytelling and photography.

Monaris has developed a distinct creative style focused on composition and color theory that lives to transform brief instances of reality into film-like scenes.

Long Way Home is part of her The Allure Of Winter series, capturing quiet and serene scenes throughout the city, absent of crowds and brought upon by the cold temperatures that lead many to stay indoors.

Mountain stop by Malaury Buis

Malaury Buis is a French photographer based in Naples, Italy. He began his creative journey after joining the Air Force at 18 as a reporter, bringing him to more than twenty countries where he had the opportunity to document and experience life.

His current work focuses on street and travel photography, exploring various scenes and locations expressed with a deep feeling of nostalgia and emotion.

Mountain stop is part of Malaury’s A Mile Ahead series, a collection of photographs captured on the road as memories of adventure and expectations for the mile ahead.

Kickback by Jakob Lilja-Ruiz

Jakob Lilja-Ruiz is a landscape photographer obsessed with documenting wild places and the people who inhabit them—captured primarily on analog film.

Kickback is part of his Made in San Francisco series, a photo documentary of San Francisco culture shaped by its unique districts.

The project was shot over two years and over 100 rolls of film, slowly showcasing the city and how history changed and visually developed these areas.
