After the Chinese New Year, WGG entered the "1st Birthday Party" preparation stage, and the team has been working hard on community events, including the recent "Top 10 People Who Touching Ghosts" nomination and the "WGG Exclusive Gift Box giveaways".

Meanwhile, in order to give more NFT players (esp. in the Western community) a clearer understanding of the WGG, I have prepared this thread to answer 20 questions that you may be interested in, and looking forward to your feedback!

Q1: When, where, and what was the origin of Weirdo Ghost Gang?

Weirdo Ghost Gang was born in December 2021 from a random scribble. It started as a way to create small works as a creator, but as the community got bigger and bigger, we got more ambitious. Now that WGG has made some impact, I'd like to invite you all to join us in seeing this Web3 Native brand and community move forward and conquer the skyscrapers.

Q2: What will you tell your grandchildren about the reasons you have continued to build WGG for 100 years?

Because this is where it all began, a testament to the fervor and idealism of youth, and I always thought WGG community would epitomize the state of life and thought of a new generation of young people in China. WGG community will continue to be passed on, and I firmly believe that WGG from China will be able to go beyond its borders and that every generation of young people from China should not miss a great era.

Q3: What do you want WGG to be in 2025, and 10 years from now?

Brand development must go through time to settle down. In my imagination, in 2025 WGG will have completed the process of moving from the virtual to the real, and the residents of Web3 and Web2 will have fallen in love with it; 10 years from now, WGG will still be vibrant because we come from the community, and if we want the pattern to open up to unrestrained imagination, let's hope WGG will become Mickey Mouse or Pokémon.

Q4: What are the highlights/features of WGG and how would the world be affected if it didn't exist anymore?

First of all, we are aesthetically perfect and figuratively we are not tied to a specific cultural background, our community has an abundance of energy and is always open to innovation and organic development. If it were gone, the earth would continue to spin, but there would be lack of one interesting community in the world, one new brand with unlimited potential, and one more arena where more people could enjoy and benefit from Web3.

Q5: What does WGG mean to you personally?

I created the WGG brand and it has shaped me too. WGG is a torch that helps me to keep going and see the way forward in the face of all the uncertainty and pressure both inside and outside the industry.

Q6: What do you want WGG to mean to each of its holders?

A vibrant community, a strong sense of belonging. In WGG community, there will be more than finance, there will be life and culture. WGG is a key to unlocking the future, bringing a new social relationship to community members, offering a variety of benefits covering both virtual and real, and creating a lifestyle for a new generation of young people.

Q7: What would make you give up WGG?

Never, ever.

Q8: What is the community consensus of WGG?

Openness, inclusion, building, bridges. WGG community is not a decentralized community, it is polycentric, with every community member at the center.

Q9: If you were to describe WGG community in one sentence, what would you say?

We focus more on the FUTURE.

Q10: In the long run, what kind of value capture will WGG take, IP, brand, and culture?

You could say that there would be no present and no future for ManesLAB without WGG. In the future, ManesLAB, as a Web3 incubator, will not only incubate IP but also develop and incubate blockchain applications to help Web3 and the Web2 world move from fragmentation to convergence, so that more people can understand and join Web3. Holders will have a place in the future, whether it's brand culture, trendy art, or technical products.

Q11: Do you have any clear plans for the rights of Holders?

As mentioned above, all our future product launches will be given special rights to without WGG Holder. In addition to this, we have already airdropped extremely high-quality physical clothing to Holders, have large whitelists of outstanding items to give out to holders in a raffle, and have developed a SPIRITUAL POWER system that we are currently iterating on, which we hope will give people a more interesting use of SPIRITUAL POWER in the future. Q12: What do you think is the most important asset of WGG from its inception to now and into the future?

The community has always been the most important to us. There would be no WGG without the community, the brand is the community and the community is the brand. The community has always given us their support and trust, and we are all working hard to build WGG. We have grown up from the bottom up and will never forget who held us up when we had nothing.

Q13: Are there any NFT collections that WGG has used as role models?

There are many projects and communities we admire, such as Azuki, which is constantly innovating; ZenAcademy, which insists on popularising Web3, and the Mimicshanns Chinese community, which has huge social media potential, to name a few. Every NFT project and community is something we can learn from, and we will continue to build on our existing strengths and keep growing.

Q14: What is the role and position of WGG in the ecosystem built by ManesLab and can you explain the relationship between them in one sentence?

ManesLAB is the parent company of WGG, a Web3 incubator. WGG is where it all started, without WGG the present and future of the Manes ecosystem would not be possible. As the Manes ecosystem grows in the future, we will provide value back to WGG in various forms, and we will never forget where we came from.

Q15: Does WGG have plans for a Stake mechanism in the future? Can Spiritual power be understood as another form of Stake?

Spiritual power is a record of Hold. The reason why we didn't make it into a pledge model is that we think we shouldn't restrict the holder's behavior through gas fee consumption, cumbersome operation, etc. at the beginning of the community development. We are more concerned about the long-term future development, so we wanted to allow holders to have a full mutual selection with us upfront. In the future, perhaps as we offer more and more benefits to everyone, we will iterate and upgrade the existing Spiritual power system, STAY TUNED.

Q16: Will WGG be a community with strong Alpha attributes?

Yes, although we haven't emphasized this in the past, there are many high-quality alpha calls and callers who contribute early and quality information to our community, and many of them have been financially rewarded with community raffles, community events, and holder status. We will continue to make efforts in this area to keep more people in the community up to date with the latest news and alpha information in the NFT space.

Q17: How was the consensus/culture of WGG formed?

The WGG team emphasized gratitude, fun, and social connections when building the community from the very beginning. We respected the community, and the early supporters, so the first 500 people who joined the community were directly whitelisted for the first season of WGG, and then we designed fun activities such as singing contests, secret actions, and collecting "five ghosts" to get people involved in the early days of the community without pressure and PUA. These activities also led the market to a certain extent. Throughout these fun events, we were always communicating what we cared about more: social relationships, culture, and lifestyle.

And after the launch, we finished building the commercial body, which is the basis for long-term sustainable development. We are constantly building our brand power, including co-branding and cooperation with well-known offline brands, continuous expansion and communication with Web2 brands, and participation in non-Web3 related forums and exhibitions, we hope to make WGG a household name and to bring more people to the world of Web3.

In addition to the official team, there are also many community members who have taken the initiative to match WGG with various collaborations, maintain the community, organize events, and let many new members integrate into the community smoothly and quickly. Thanks and honor to them!

Q18: What do you think is one thing you care about WGG? I think we need to distill the spirit of WGG in a direct way and get it across to more people. Though people can't understand it until they've experienced it, we'd prefer people to have a general understanding and be interested in learning more about us. We are actively working on this aspect.

Q19: Which blue-chip holder is more predominant in WGG holder and why do you think?

Although we didn't deliberately try to attract holders of a particular blue-chip project at the time of the offering, we are happy to still have some recognition from the blue-chip community. At the moment Azuki has more holders because we are deeply involved in the Chinese market and Azuki is the most held blue-chip project by the Chinese community.

Q20: Is there anything that WGG can share with the global NFT players at the moment? What are your impressions of NFT players in Europe and the US? Do you hope that WGG will get a strong presence in Europe and the US?

WGG was born in the Chinese community and has maintained organic growth until now. We haven't found a good opportunity to do a large-scale or proactive marketing effort in the overseas community yet, BUT we will continue to take more time and actions to let more members of the overseas community know and join us, which is one of our priorities for the next phase. We will gradually radiate our influence to Asia and the world from our home base, and help more Chinese communities to go abroad together once we have achieved some success.

BTW, we are planning a massive offline event in New York during NFTNYC in April, so if other projects (not limited to NFT) are willing to get things going together, feel free to get in touch with us!

See you guys in a better new world! LFG, WGG!!!
