Through this strategic integration, CyberConnect and ZetaChain are joining hands to enable truly omnichain social networks where users can maintain their holistic decentralized identities across chains and platforms. Core to this vision is an omnichain social graph that fulfills CyberConnect’s original blockchain-agnostic design. User profiles, connections, and generated content will be NFTs, interoperable across all blockchains.
ZetaChain is a protocol-agnostic Layer-1 omnichain smart contract platform that supports generic omnichain smart contracts that connect all blockchains such as Ethereum, Polygon, BNB (BSC), as well as non-smart contract blockchains, such as Bitcoin and Dogecoin, without using bridges or wrapped tokens. More than 450,000 users have joined ZetaChain’s native asset cross-chain Swap app on its recently-launched testnet to date.
CyberConnect is a decentralized social network protocol that helps Web3 applications bootstrap network effects and build meaningful social experiences while empowering users to truly own and monetize their social data and contents. Built on CyberConnect, Link3.to is a Web3 social network of verifiable identities and a community hub where teams build meaningful relationships with community members. Its Event Planner feature is currently the world’s biggest Web3 AMA platform.
All current Link3 (CyberConnect) profile NFT holders and selected W3ST (Web3 Status Token, CyberConnect’s ERC-721 standard representing social status) holders will be invited to mint Omnichain Social Passes on ZetaChain’s testnet in November.
When omnichain smart contracts are deployed on ZetaChain’s mainnet later down the roadmap, Pass holders will be able to claim omnichain profiles that will serve as the basis of their cross-chain identities. The profiles will enable users to log-in and maintain social connections and content ownership across blockchains and platforms, materializing the vision of holistic decentralized identities.
