Modular blockchain Celestia testnet rolls out Oolong upgrade, Oolong is the latest upgrade to Arabica Devnet and Mocha Testnet. This upgrade serves as a release candidate for the mainnet release. If all goes well, the mainnet may adopt Oolong.

New features of the upgrade include increasing the amount of space available in blocks for blob data, increasing the size of namespace IDs from 8 bytes to 29 bytes, limiting block sizes, and more. Additionally, on-chain governance for all parameters is removed, except for some specific parameters like block size. Any changes outside of these specific parameters will now require a hard fork.
