Overview of zkSync zkSync is a layer 2 blockchain developed by Matter Labs that uses ZK Rollups technology to provide scalability, security, and reduced transaction costs on the Ethereum network.

On March 24th 2023, the official zkSync Twitter page announced that the zkSync 2.0 mainnet. At the same time, the tokenomics section on the project's docs page also mentions a future token release.

From these aspects of the project, we can somewhat imagine a similar scenario with Optimism and Aptos. Therefore, this is the time when we need to "take advantage" of airdrop farming with zkSync before the airdrop snapshot is taken.

The recent fundraising of various blockchain has also been very impressive lately. Arbitrum raised $120 million in its Series B funding round led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, while optimism brought in $25 million in its Series A round led by a16z. In the case of Aptos blockchain, 300 million USD is the number airdropped to users. Each person has received from 1k5 to 4k USD just holding the NFT from its Testnet.

To qualify for airdrops, you need to be active on different chains, stake your cryptocurrency on various platforms, interact with new protocols, and stay up to date with the latest news and developments.

What to prepare for airdrop farming on zkSync?

Setting up your Metamask First, you need to download your MetaMask wallet.

Then, add the zkSync Era Mainnet to the MetaMask wallet in Settings → Add Network and fill in the following information:

Funding your zkSync wallet

Next, you need to deposit to your zkSync wallet To do the airdrop farming on zkSync, you need to deposit about 20 USD into the zkSync wallet. Proceed as follows: Step 1: Visit the zkSync Wallet page here. Then, choose Ethereum Wallet → MetaMask to connect.

Step 2: Click Top up and choose a method to transfer assets to the zkSync network. The author personally suggest everyone to transfer ETH through Bybit because it’s simple and the fees are not too high.

This is also how you cash out of zksync blockchain, by using Bybit or swapping on its exchange.

Instructions for airdrop farming and retroactive hunting on zkSync

Swap on ZigZag Exchange Once you have your wallet funded on zkSync, you will be returned to the wallet homepage. Here, you will have many options to interact with, but first we will come to a simple transaction called swap.

Step 1: Select Swap. Users will be redirected to ZigZag Exchange, the system will automatically connect the wallet to the exchange.

Step 2: You choose the right trading pair, this article will use ETH and USDC pairs as an example. Then, enter the amount to trade similar to CEX exchanges.

Step 3: Click Sell to sell ETH. You repeat the same with the Buy order of this pair.

You guys should trade as much as possible, recommending more than 50 swap orders.

Note: It is recommended to trade with a moderate volume in each order to avoid running out of ETH.

Bridge on ZigZag Exchange Transferring assets to the Ethereum network can also be done on ZigZag Exchange through the following steps:

Step 1: Select the multitasking icon → Bridge.

Step 2: Choose the right network and asset class. After the system has updated the balance, you enter the amount of assets you want to deposit.

It is recommended to choose Normal for Withdraw speed (withdrawal speed) to minimize the amount of fees to be paid.

Step 3: Select Transfer. For fast transactions, it usually takes about 7 hours for the asset to be sent to the wallet on Ethereum.

Transferring on zkSync wallet

Going back to the zkSync wallet interface, we can send assets to increase our chances of receiving airdrops

Step 1: Select Transfer.

Step 2: Select the sending transaction type. You should choose to deposit other wallets on zkSync to save gas fees.

Step 3: You enter the necessary information like a normal sending transaction including wallet address, quantity and assets to be transferred. Then select Send on zkSync.

Mint NFTs on zkSync

Step 1: You need to access the link Github here to download the file "IPFS-Desktop-Setup-0.24.0.exe" and install it.

Step 2: Open IPFS software and move to File. Choose Import → File and select the desired image as NFT.

Step 3: Once the image has been uploaded, select the ellipsis icon → Copy CID.

Step 4: Go back to the NFTs section on the zkSync Wallet homepage, select Mint NFT.

You need to paste the CID address and select Mint NFT and the system will do the rest for you.

Note: You should mint as many NFTs as possible. Recommended to mint over 10 NFT when the transaction fee is cheap.

Donate on Gitcoin Donate on Gitcoin is a way to support the project and also get you the possibility to receive the airdrop. You participate to donate to the project on the zkSync wallet by following these steps:

Step 1: Visit Gitcoin's homepage here and create an account if you don't have one yet.

Connect the wallet and choose **Products → Grants → Explore Grants. **
