The General Assembly and the first Teaching Seminar were held in Kunming on 27 April at the establishment of the Yunan New Medical Education Union (hereinafter referred to as the Alliance) by the Network. At the meeting, the Federation’s senior schools, institutes, medical enterprises, representatives of high-school-affiliated hospitals and prominent national medical education scholars gathered to explore career development in science in the context of new medical schools and to explore new skills development paths in the Yunnan Medical Clinic.

The Alliance, which was spearheaded by the University of Kunming Medical Sciences, consists of 65 units in four categories of high schools, institutes, pharmaceutical enterprises and related high-schools. The “New Medical Section” refers to medical education, which is offered from heavy treatment to prevention, care and rehabilitation, highlighting the health philosophy of life-cycle, health-wide processes, emphasizing the cross-commutation of medical science with engineering, science and literature, and achieving quality training for medical education personnel.

The Secretary of the Party Committee of the University of Kunming indicated to the Secretary-General that the Union was committed to building high-level joint innovative platforms, promoting the sharing of resources for medical education, advancing the reform of the model for the development of sophisticated and innovative medical personnel in Yunnan Province, world-class professional development, science, medical coordination and integration mechanisms, and further developing a sound and high-quality medical education system in Yunnan.

Wang Kun, a member and Deputy Director of the Yumkiya Party, expressed the hope that the Alliance would explore new medical facilities with cloud-based characteristics, optimize the medical talent development structure; strengthen scientific research in medicine; develop a solid medical skills base and deepen medical coordination; and strengthen the Medical Association Mechanism to advance the reform of cloud science education.

The Vice-President of the Department of Education of Yunnan Province, a member of the Party Group, the Prince of the Yunan Board of Educational Workers, expressed the hope that the Alliance units would explore innovative and complex talents in the biomedical industry in terms of mutual recognition, curriculum selection, appointment of teachers, sharing of quality teaching resources and scientific platforms, inter-integration of medical and multidisciplinary depths.

At the same day’s teaching seminar, medical education scholars from all parts of the country also conducted research on the subject of professional development in the context of new medical schools, the search for talent development and the implementation of the road map, leading to a fine academic dinner.
