Earlier this year, we launched Page Two, the next evolution of Chapter One fully focused on crypto investing. We dedicated this fund, and our future work in the community, to improve the accessibility and usability of web3 for all.
And we made the commitment that we are building our fund like a full-stack product team with expertise across product, design, engineering, data science, and community. Because that’s how we believe investors can best serve web3 founders.
Our vision at Chapter One is to enable people to own their time, money, and ideas. And we will achieve this by investing in and building with founders that make crypto easier to use.
Today we are launching Studios, the $1M check web3 incubator designed for early stage founders.
Studios is our incubator at Chapter One. We are offering $1m each to select teams that want to build the next meaningful products in web3 for the next 6 months. Any idea is fair game and we want to fund and build companies that span the following verticals: identity, consumer applications, cross-chain interoperability, wallet & developer infrastructure, and DeFi.
Through the Studios incubator, we will build with web3 founders and provide personalized support across key domains that any founder needs help with: product, design, community, data science, finance, talent, and more. Studios will be a space where the Chapter One team and community works with founders to build from 0 to 1.
We designed Studios with key web3 principles in mind.

- Durable web3 companies will be built with a combination of product, design, and community, and we are dedicated to leading on each.
- Honor the challenges of building, and innovate at the edges.
Studios offers web3 founders valuable resources to reach Product Market Fit and scale.
Our goal at Studios is to help founders reach Product Market Fit by supporting them with valuable components of the company building process. Studios Founders will benefit from:
- Chapter One team office hours: Weekly product and design sessions.
- Product: roadmap, growth, monetization
- Design: branding, landing page, user flows
- Network & Access: Unlocking relationships with key web3 ecosystem partners and strategic LPs.
- Team Building: Support in securing first team hires.
- Mentors: Access to a diverse group of advisors from across web3 landscape.
- Team Office Space: Access to work from C1 HQ in Los Angeles.
- Batch Trip: Incubator culminates in 1-week offsite to Mykonos, Greece 🇬🇷
Logistical details of the application process and and of the program are as follows:
Application Timing:
Applications will be open from March 9-Apr 5. You can find the application here.
Incubator Timing:
Teams will build for a 6 month period from end of April through early October.
Number of Companies:
We will select a minimum of 3 incubations for the first season of Studios.
Terms of Incubation:
We will offer founders $1m for 15% of the company.
Selection Criteria:
We are interested in high potential founders who have previous building experience and/or passion to solve important problems in web3.
